Sophia

Holiday photos are beginning, and these cute ones of Sophia were taken last Saturday. Despite contending with swarms of Texas-sized mosquitos that day, we were able to take some great shots outside, where the light was just right. Sophia's mom had several colorful tutu's to play around with, and they helped us all get "in the mood" and have a great time.

County Fair!

We went to the Fort Bend County Fair this weekend. Despite the rain, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves there...fun rides, your basic carnival fare, games, and prizes! Just to see the smiles on my kids faces when they rode the cute little rides and slid down the giant fun slide; and to hear the laughter and giggles all day, was all I could ask for on a Saturday afternoon. Until you have kids, you tend to forget just how fun the little joys can be. I had a blast just watching my 5-year old ride the mini-rollercoaster "all by himself." He grinned from ear to ear the whole time, as we waited on the ground below. He even threw his hands into the air as the coaster zoomed down the hill! There might have been a tear in my eye at one point...I can't believe how he's growing up.
